Authorize the Bureau of Transportation Systems Management and Operations to enter into a contract with Green Mountain Communications Inc., to design, build, test, and maintain an Advanced Transportation Management System consisting of Dynamic Part Time Shoulder Use on the I-95 Blue Star Turnpike and the Maine Turnpike from Exit 5 in NH to Exit 3 in Maine on the northbound barrel and from Exit 2 in Maine to Exit 5 in NH on the southbound barrel within the Division of Operations, in the amount of $9,388,190.98. Effective upon G&C approval through June 30, 2025 with an option to renew for up to 2 additional two-year optional operation periods up to, but not beyond June 30, 2029. 33% Turnpike, 67% Other-Agency Income. (2)Further authorize a contingency in the amount of $281,645.73 for payment of latent conditions which may appear during the construction of the project. (3)Further authorize to enter into a Cooperative agreement with the State of Maine to allow the department to bill the Maine Department of Transportation and the Maine Turnpike Authority for costs associated with implementation and construction of this Intelligent Transportation System project.
