Authorize the Division of Emergency Services and Communications (DESC) to retroactively amend the accept and expend of $4,878,000 of federal funds from the United States Department of Justice grant entitled FY24 COPS Office Technology and Equipment Program (originally approved by G&C on 2/5/25, Item #104) by extending the end date from June 30, 2025 to March 31, 2026. The extension will allow for the continuation of the work currently being accomplished by the DESC to design a modernized New Hampshire Interoperability Communications Network (NHICnet) with microwave radios and associated networking equipment with more intelligent and secure components that will improve the NHICnet’s redundancy, resiliency and management capability. Effective upon G&C approval for the period of July 1, 2025 through March 31, 2026. 100% Federal Funds. Contingent upon Fiscal Committee approval on September 5, 2025.
