Description

Authorize to retroactively amend item #55, originally approved by G&C on January 9, 2019, by extending the end date from June 30, 2019 to September 30, 2019 to accept and expend a grant in the amount of $70,600 from the National Institute of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, in order to establish a position and an automated system to track the handling and testing of sexual assault kits in NH. (2)Further authorize to retroactively amend item #55, originally approved by G&C on January 9, 2019, by extending the end date from June 30, 2019 to September 30, 2019, for one class 059 full time temporary Program Specialist IV, LG 25 to provide oversight of a statewide initiative to enhance the tracking and handling of sexual assault kits and to produce and enhance proper policies and procedures to ensure that all sexual assault kits in the state of NH are handled in accordance with sexual assault survivors rights. 100% Federal Funds. Fiscal Committee approved.
