Authorize the Bureau of Construction to enter into a contract with SPS New England Inc., Salisbury, MA, for the design-build replacement of the Bunker Creek Bridge over US Route 4 in Durham, on the basis of best value, lump sum bid of $7,100,000. (2)Further authorize a contingency in the amount of $355,000 for payment of latent conditions which may appear during the construction of the project. (3)Further authorize $70,000 for stipend payments to the unsuccessful bidders, Severino Trucking Company Inc., and CPM Contractors Inc., ($35,000 each). Effective upon G&C approval through October 2, 2020. 100% Federal Funds.
