Authorize the Division of Fire Standards and Training and Emergency Medical Services to retroactively accept and expend funds from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration grant, entitled First Responder Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act, in the amount of $720,870 for the continuation of the subrecipient grant program for first responders and communities with the goal of reducing opioid overdoses and fatalities throughout the State. (2)Further authorize to retroactively continue two existing temporary full-time positions, a Program Specialist IV (LG25) and a Program Specialist II (LG21) (originally approved by G&C on 2-7-18, item #44), for the purpose of implementing and supporting the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration grant, entitled First Responder Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act. Effective October 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019. 100% Federal Funds. Fiscal Committee approved.
