Authorize the Division of Parks and Recreation to enter into a retroactive Lease Agreement with the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC), Boston, MA, for use of certain state-owned land collectively known as the Lonesome Lake Hut from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2029. (2) Further authorize to accept from the AMC an annual base payment of the amount paid the previous year plus the percentage of the CPI determined each December of the prior year and published by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics but not to exceed 4% for any year over the term of the Lease, as detailed in the letter dated March 7, 2025. The payments will be deposited into the account unit “State Parks Fund.” (3) Further authorize to accept trail work and services from the AMC performed exclusively on state reservations in lieu of an additional payment not to exceed $24,000 per year accomplished at the “professional crew level” as more specifically set forth in a work plan provided by the Department, in accordance with the terms of the Lease.
