Description

Authorize to accept and expend a Federal Fiscal Year 2024 grant in the amount of $1,087,220 from the US Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Statistics, National Criminal History Improvements Program, for the purpose of replacing and implementing fingerprint Livescan machines statewide, expanding law enforcement access to the State Messaging Platform, addressing the paper fingerprint backlog, and for funding an independent audit consultation to proactively ensure the state’s Criminal Justice Information System is in compliance with FBI specifications. (2) Further authorize to amend an existing subgrant with the New Hampshire Department of Safety, Concord, NH (originally approved by G&C on 4/23/25, Item #133, archived document ), to increase the grant limitation by $1,187,220 from $1,387,755 to $2,574,975, with no change to the completion date, for the purpose of assisting local law enforcement gain access to the New Hampshire State Police State Messaging Platform, addressing the paper fingerprint backlog, and for funding an independent audit of its criminal record system. Effective upon G&C approval through September 30, 2026. 100% Federal Funds. Fiscal Committee approved on October 17, 2025.
