Description

TABLED – The Governor and Council on motion of Councilor Wheeler, seconded by Councilor Stevens, adopted this item for discussion. Following discussion, the Governor and Council on motion of Councilor Warmington, seconded by Councilor Kenney, voted to table the request to enter into a sole source operations transfer and asset purchase agreement and execute all necessary closing documents with Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital, Lebanon, NH, in the amount of $631,000, for the purpose of selling assigning, and transferring furniture, fixtures, and assets necessary for Hampstead Hospital & Residential Treatment Facility operations. (2) Further authorize to enter into a sole source joint operating agreement with Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital, Lebanon, NH, at no cost to the Department, for the purpose of establishing a public-private partnership via a joint operating committee for oversight of Hampstead Hospital & Residential Treatment Facility operations. (3) Further authorize to enter into a sole source lease for Hampstead Hospital & Residential Treatment Facility, comprised of approximately 89,038 square feet, in the Town of Hampstead, NH, to Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital, Lebanon, NH, for seven years, with the option to renew up to three times in five year increments, with an annual base rennet of $1,157,494 in year one, and subsequent year amount to be increased by an annual base rent escalator of 2.5%. (4) Further authorize to enter into a sole source Transition Services Agreement with Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital, Lebanon, NH, for a maximum period of one year following the effective date, to allow the Department to continue to manage services, pass through costs and collect an administrative fee, up to a maximum amount of $5,000,000.
