Description
Authorize to amend a contract with Account Control Technology Inc., Canoga Park, CA (originally approved by G&C on 3-30-11, item #118), for out-of-state debt collection services, by exercising the second optional one year extension retroactively from March 30, 2013 to March 29, 2014. This contract incurs no outlay of State funds as ACR is working on a percentage rate of recovery basis. As a first placement debt collector in the debt collection process, ACT will retain 18.5% from any funds that are recovered without litigation; if litigation is required and approved by the Department, ACT shall retain 35%.
